The goal of the project is to see if regulating consumer energy demand can be used to deal with the fluctuations in energy production from renewable resources, according to the GE blog.

The Roi Roundup, as it was called, sent 80 divers into the waters right off of the Maui coast to spear the predators. According to the Honolulu advertiser, each roi eats an average of 146 fish per year and organizers say the roundup brought in 218 roi, which will save 31,000 fish per year.
