Yesterday, we were pleased to announce the release of our newest feature to Lahaina.com, our Kama’aina Page.
At the Kama’aina page, local Mauians have a dedicated page solely to themselves where they can find the latest news information, events, games, gas prices and much more.
One of the many complaints among local Mauians that we received was the lack of up to date information, and at Lahaina.com, we are trying to provide this information through our Kama’aina page, and also through our twitter account–lahainadotcom. On twitter, we have been posting breaking news, traffic updates, surf reports and weather reports, along with other relevant information going on in Maui.
The Kama’ana page is still a big work in progress and we hope to continue to improve upon the page as time goes on. One thing we would really like to improve is the business directory, therefore Mauians can find the right information they need for a local service. If you have a local service (such as an attorney or plumber), please submit your business, so potential customers can find you!
Another item that we encourage and think would be a great addition to the page is getting local businesses to submit their coupons to the Kama’aina page. Mauians will be able to find deals on local businesses and the businesses who provide will be able to promote themselves and receive more customers–a win-win.
Finally, one last thing that we are encouraging is feedback from users who have been to the page. In order to make the page the very best and most helpful to locals, we need your help. Please let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. One addition that we are adding on is a nightlife page and any help in this regards would be fantastic as well!
