Maui Bus to Extend Morning Service in Central Maui

The County of Maui Department of Transportation announced today that Maui Bus will extend morning service by one hour in Central Maui beginning at 6:30 a.m. on the Kahului and Wailuku Loops and 7:00 a.m. on the Kahului and Wailuku Reverse Loops. These changes are effective April 1, 2009.

Additional changes to other routes include:

• Four additional stops added to the Lahaina Villager, including 505 Front Street, Lahaina Gateway and two further up Lahainaluna Road;
• Time change to the first morning Wailuku-Kapalua Commuter from War Memorial Stadium parking lot, now departing at 5:30 a.m.;
• Time change to the afternoon Kihei-Kapalua Commuter from Kapalua, now departing at 4:05 p.m.;

Due to low ridership, the Wailuku-Kahului Connector route for commuter passengers will end on March 31.
