The Ka'anapali Beach Walk, one of West Maui's most beloved oceanfront paths, has officially completed its multi-phase restoration project. The walkway stretches from the Sheraton Maui at Black Rock all the way south past Whaler's Village and connects to every major resort along the coast.

The restoration included widened pathways with improved ADA-accessible ramps at every resort connection point, new native Hawaiian landscaping featuring naupaka, niu (coconut palms), and hala trees, and upgraded lighting for safe evening strolls. The County of Maui worked closely with the Ka'anapali Beach Resort Association to ensure minimal disruption during the work.

For visitors, this means you can now walk the entire beachfront corridor without detours. The path is smooth enough for strollers and wheelchairs, and several new seating areas with shade structures have been added along the route. Early morning walks offer some of the best whale-watching vantage points during peak season.

The project also addressed erosion concerns along the northern section near Black Rock, adding natural rock barriers and improved drainage. Beach access points have been clearly marked with new signage in both English and Hawaiian.
